Welcome to the Blog provided for the members of the
North East Area Group of the G Scale Society.
North East Area Group (NEAG) of the G Scale Society was created by the reorganisation and reconstruction of two other former Area Groups by postcodes, and came into being on the 7th of February 2025 covering the North Eastern counties of England (refer to map).Regular monthly meetings are held during the Winter months, usually on the first Friday, as always there are exceptions, please refer to the “live” diary further down this page for up to date information.

Beverages are available from the Cafe, cooked food usually available from approx 12.30 am, freshly cooked Bacon (as in crispy if required!) and Sausage bread rolls, with or without butter and a choice of sauces available, for a small donation to the Well Church.
Disabled parking is available at the front of the church, and the ground floor of the church is wheelchair friendly and caters for disabled amenities.
Readily available off street parking at the rear of the church and the surrounding side streets.
North Road itself is well served by numerous bus routes from far flung places such as Middlesbrough and Durham.
North Road station is few minutes walk away, on the Northern service (Bishop Line) from Saltburn to Bishop Auckland, via Darlington station.
Darlington Bank Top and the new station facility are served by LNER, Cross Country, TransPennine Express and Northern rail services.
