EFFORTS by a Ponteland school to take on Trust status have hit a stumbling block.
Governors at Ponteland High School have delayed its bid to become a foundation school after two of the four partners lined up to support the scheme pulled out. _________________ Lynn Roxburgh |

We were disappointed to have two local partners withdraw shortly after the end of the statutory consultation period.
Governors are reviewing the way forward. The unions are keen on federations but I can't see why and don't see dfederations as likely to be welcome in what is mainly a group of fairly large successfull schools. |
