EFFORTS by a Ponteland school to take on Trust status have hit a stumbling block.
Governors at Ponteland High School have delayed its bid to become a foundation school after two of the four partners lined up to support the scheme pulled out.

We were disappointed to have two local partners withdraw shortly after the end of the statutory consultation period.

Governors are reviewing the way forward. The unions are keen on federations but I can't see why and don't see dfederations as likely to be welcome in what is mainly a group of fairly large successfull schools.
